    Hmm. I think all perception is subjective and "adorned". It is not possible, as Kant knew, to perceive things as they really are.

    I admit, I find this theory appealing - the universe is not more than a projection of universal consciousness - without consciousness, there is no universe.

    A friend gave me, and I read the book, "Biocentrism", by Robert Lanza.

    I haven't had chance to read your reference but I'm guessing it is version of Idealism similar to that of George Berkely.

    I don't want to deny the existence of the world, just that perception gives us direct access to it.

    What if lines look bent in a constructed 'visual illusion', but use of a ruler indicates they are not? Doesn't this suggest a useful distinction between 'subjective' and 'objective' ? (I think this suggestion is from Plato).
