There is no reason to defend any one and I'm not defending any one because no one needs my defense.

As I said many times to you and others, I'm just trying to keep this place a nice place for technology passionate people.
Your insults to PowerBasic do not add anything to the discussion other than offending my patience.

I repeat: remain technical with your critics and no one will moderate you.

Did I moderate danbaron for his critics to PB Ide? No
Did I ban someone because some critics to me or to others? No

Did I ban or moderate someone insulting others? Yes.
Will I continue to do that? Yes

"All COM based programes will not work on future Windows 8."
Do you believe all the crap posted in the web?

All COM based programs or only those compiled with PowerBASIC? If all, even .NET will disappear, because the .NET runtime is a low-level COM server, something that many .NET users apparently don't know.

    Another poster says:

I change my mind when i see that Power Basic (i really dont know where is power in this language) can NOT create Window frame, he only can create Dialog frame - what a crap..."
How can it be true if all my programs use SDK windows and not the Windows Dialog Engine?

Please, don't pay attention to people that don't know what they are talking about.

    In the picture:
    • PB IDE
    • a compiled (under Windows 8 ) application using Power Collection
    • PB COM Browser
    • PB COM library (Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 6.1 Library) exploded

I bet most of what is being done in Win8 could be done with a custom theme in XP.

    Eros,

what happens when I click ThinAIR "tile" in this view. Does it switch to "normal" Windows desktop and launch thinAir, or does it launch thinAIR maximized over the tiles?
