Hi folks,
here is a sample on how to load isometric tiles and render them manually in a very simple and manual way.
The map uses 3 tiles and is build randomly.

That would be nice,
maybe for future higher level isometric system the textures could have the block vertically centered too.

I used Blender for it. The reason why there is only the bottom used is that I wanted to have space for higher structures in it. But that is a minimal factor the tile size really depends on what kind of game you want to create. Havin the tile centered with space below AND above wouldn't make much sence imho.
