Wow, a post I certainly didn't expect. So now let the cat out of the bag, I'm bursting from curiousity.
Hi all,
due to lack of enough time to quickly develop all requests and ideas in some of the thinBasic areas and modules, I've taken the decision to share some of the thinBasic source code on some specific modules.
This will be done using Subversion server already present and running on thinBasic dedicated server.
[wiki=Subversion_(software)]Subversion[/wiki] Server and its counterpart [wiki=TortoiseSVN]TortoiseSVN[/wiki] client are a fantastic way to share files over the web allowing concurrent development of software from all over the world. Subversion server will control versioning, will resolve conflicts, will let users to lock some source in order to amend it, will let everyone having access to the server (and enough privileges) to concurrently work shared source code.
I will be more precise in a successive post regarding:
- what I will share
- how to have access to SVN server
- how to use shared sources
Ciao
Eros
