Good point Abraxas about the ALIAS, but the article was mainly about porting old code to TB. Except the GoSub nothing occured to me, as most of ThinBasic commands are not 1:1 with old BASIC ... or at least I did not find any such.

But ALIAS would be definitely interesting topic for future article. If you are interested I would be happy to see article from you. If not, just pointing me in right direction ( uses of alias ) would be appreciated as well
