Mike, I got an idea for a blender script.
It assumes the origin is 0,0,0 and asks for a radius.
Then it would ask for how many lights at the equator, then from that calculate the angles to figure out how many lights
to go around the object in a spherical pattern.
Then it would have a scrollbar input for light intensity that would adjust all the lights.
This script would be very useful to get nice even lighting all around the object with nice reflections.
Something to do, in case you ever find time and want to tinker with blender scripting again

I was sort of looking lightly and quickly to see if there were any lighting scripts for Blender and so far no luck, I will do some more deeper searching tonight just for curiosity and post any links that might help in the process. No rush, but I think it would be a useful script for many that is for sure Mike.
