Thanks to kryton9 and MikeHart you can see original models created for this game especially!

    What's new in Alpha 3

    Game/General:
    • Game menu
    • Shots push the spaceships back
    • When player ship is near death, it explodes a bit, which makes it move randomly ( challenge to control it )

    Graphics:
    • New players ship
    • New space rendering ( unique space for each game )

    Service release

There was quite a serious issue in topDown Alpha 3, one autonomous TBGL_PushMatrix making OpenGL stack bleed :-[

    - Many apologies to all who experienced possible unstable behaviour of the game -

    Please re-download from post above.

Thanks a lot Petr. On my box it runs at more than 140FPS. Fantastic.

I noticed that there is a USES "BIFF" at the beginning that is not necessary.

    Ciao

    Thank Eros,

will do better cleanup when more time,
this issue with stack was critical.

Next release could be re-done using entities, this will change code a lot

    Thanks,
    Petr

Thanks Petr, nice surprise to see this when I know you are so busy with school, appreciate it a lot.

I personally think the backgrounds are too buys and many times I can see the textures on the quads, so it takes away from the simulation. Also the side ways motion sort of makes me dizzy compared to moving forward as we had it before. This could be me, as I get motion sick easy in games... so it will be interesting to see how others feel.
I sort of liked the old backgrounds better.

Also one thing, the stinky bug is firing way to fast, it covers the screen with shots and no way to escape them. Other than that, really nice new update. Thanks a lot!!

Mike, topdown is not dead. Petr surprised us with this cool update.
My feelings were that everything was on hold for the fps version till we develop the tools and then use topdown fps as the testing platform for the tools.
So it will be a big group project in the future.

Powerhouse programmer Petr just pleasantly surprised us with this bonus release.
