Is anyone else having problems writing posts, is the editor window jumping the text in the window when a newline is created?

Michael,
that seems an IE8 issue. Firefox and other IE versions are ok.
It is something I had experienced too.
You need to use "Compatibility mode (http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/08/27/introducing-compatibility-view.aspx)" under IE8 to properly been able to enter text that extends the last line of a textarea otherwise it continues to jump up.
