I was introduced to this interesting idea from someone at work today and thought the geek in all of use would enjoy it or even want to try it but the larger ones cost a lot of money.

Cool project. And even better, a new resource for me to look at.

Thanks ;)

Very nice,

I liked the clock very much.
The cube looks like device from older sci-fi movie :)

I can get 100 RGB LED's for about £50 which is not bad and using TB on the comm module I see a lunch time work project.

It might be sometime before i see some results though.

Hi Michael,

that is very good price, LEDs are quite expensive here, even single color ones.
Too bad my biggest electronics success was circuit with battery and ligh bulb.

The cheapest way to get LEDs might be to dismantle a surplus set of Christmas tree lights. Individual components are expensive here too.

Charles all my christmas tree lights are bulbs (from woolworths)

LED / Bulb same thing really so there is no reason why you couldn't build one

PP3 9v battery
1x led
1 x 580 ohm resistor

and you have light, now just repeat 100 times.(you may want a bigger PSU)
