hi dear thinbasic friends...

as I haven't just not enough learning about games ai, tbgl game concepts and still waiting for the upcoming new features of tbgl - I will improve another little, very good one... 'thinbasix' I did it for a good learning edition... :P there were diving more new ideas in my mind..., don't worry it's the first release... :lol:

my first edition I send here... more to come, I am sure... I have bundled the example until a later, bigger release, the current version is acceptable so I am thinking with a good feeling... :D it will take some seconds when the good power has gone for ever ;)

perhaps it's also possible to make energy shields and other things more to make it a step more exciting... I have created new ship shapes (Art Thankies)... :) with a simple picture manipulation software - have fun with it...

open door: if somebody has a serious interest to go with me for this little game project can say it to me :)

edit: wednesday, 22 april, new artthankies.exe file I add here as rar :) replace it with the old one... - built in a new effect for a later rendershield behaviour of the good lollipop ship :)

ok: send here the whole bundle script again, it's easier to handle with ;)

here the game is working fine but it have a problem due to too much "image shaking" when something is hit.
When something is hit, screen never stops to be shaken.
I suppose when an enemy or the main ship is hit, screen should shake for few millisecs and than return to normal.

Is that the good ship lollipop we are controlling?
I have to laugh... thank you... :D yes, of course, you can only handle this one as player... other two enemies are not player controlled... (more ai and random controlled...)

@eros... I can do that...

a problem due to too much "image shaking" when something is hit.
I tested the script first of all on my laptop (slower version, some weeks ago) and there aren't such image shakings effects... I change that with the next release... need only to reduce the values...

little update, see my first post :)
a) update one, new rendershield (quads) effect... ;), should protect at a later moment the good power ship... don't know how exactly, but I will find a way ...

minimize the image shaking effect :D

Just a note to other downloaders of the update. Put the bundled exe file into the previous demo folder where the art and sound files are located or you will get an error.
Nice effect for the shields Frank, reminds me of Star Trek the Original Series and some of the look of the effects from those days, classic cool stuff.

I have sent the bundle script at the board again... it's easier to handle with it... see my first post :)

thank you for your friendly reply... this kind of shields I like very hot... star trek or enterprise or space invaders... ;) I will also only have fun while working with this 2d game project and nothing more... so I am curious to see what the next 2d features includes interesting stuff...

I love scenes from sci-fi shows with space battles, shields up and all the cool weapons fire, I am sure we will have nice effects showing such things in future game projects with thinBasic. I know you play with Lightwave Frank and wow it sure was used to make lots of those effects we saw and loved.
