this is interesting design. On my university there is project of similar auxiliary device for hand rehabilitation.
If it will help people with walking problems or workers in factories... why not?

I prefer my seat to be non-frontal, and my robots to spoon me. I think it would have more appeal if the mobility structure was more hip bound, as opposed to being crotch bound.
Now if it had scooter wheels... or those neat skate-shoes... or segway wheels!
I wonder if the legs lock, giving you a portable any-where seat, when desired? It looks like one of the workers is sitting, not just squatting. (Odd stance for just a normal squat position.)
