See what nice picture this site has used to list thinBasic ;D

I suppose they have indicated an unicode text file to be executed.
thinBasic does not support unicode script files. We need to catch this kind of situation and drive correct error message until we will be able to execute unicode scripts.

;D

Now that is really cool,
They could put there "download the software, because it has really nice run time error dialog" :D

Notice the file executed has TXT extension :)

Eros, I'm sure you have no problem with error messages like this, or ;)

I have this problem often at home as my wife comes from China.

WinXP can can name files and folders in Chinese but when trying to open it most programs fails. The Chinese version of XP can handle this but I prefer a European language. Windows it self fails often just to handle these pathnamnes.

Thanks Jophur.
I have no windows installallation that has native OS double byte installation so I cannot test. But I think I can make some changes able to handle the problem. Maybe I will ask if you will have some time to test. It will not be an immediate change anyhow.

Support for asian languages would open a huge new field for ThinBasic. I know the Chinese rather well and having competent programming language that is powerful, easy, fast and most has important extremely good ratio for cost/value - you could end up with seeing a large user base starting to build up in the universities of China.

Thanks Jophur. We will for sure consider it.
I will talk with Roberto about that because we also need to make thinAir compatible.
