Hi folks,

with the help of CrossOver, I got thinBasic to run on my IMac today. A lot of the sample scripts work, some stuff not. Like the richedit examples. But I was expecting this as CrossOver totally emulates windows XP without an installation of XP. The speed of TBGL scripts are good too. On my PC the clock example runs around 200 FPS, on the Mac it runs with 150 FPS in average.

I will definately look more into this.

Cheers
Michael

Hi Mike,

this is good news, I am pleasantly surprised by fast execution of TBGL scripts.
Which card does that Mac have?

Thanks for the info Mike! The screenshots of thinAir IDE in the Apple GUI looks really sweet. The framerates are awesome too.
Looks like you might be able to use thinBasic for your game development on the mac.

Have you tried compiling a bundle to see if it will run that way?

PowerBasic is currently advocated on the Codeweavers (CrossOver) site here (http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=4352).

A screen shot of thinBasic running on the Mac was submitted some time ago.

No, I didn't try that, but I will.
