Hi all,

in order to add more possibilities to pay our web costs (thinBasic is placed on a dedicated hardware server) we have introduced a new advertising system: "In-Text advertising" offered by Kontera - http://www.kontera.com/
Usually this way of advertising is used in very high visited web sites. thinBasic community forum has now more than 150000 pages visited every month so Kontera has judged worth to give us an account to start advertising with their system.

What will happen is that a new javascript inserted into every page of thinBasic community forum will analyze page content and insert on the fly hyperlinks on some words present on the page. Links will have a green color. Going over that link will show a cloud containing publisher info.

The new ad system should be very light and should not interfere too much with your thinbasic community forum experience. In any case let me know if you have bad feeling.

Regards
Eros

Hi Eros,

how works the current advertising system - do I have to click the advertisement to make money for you, or just view on page is payed? And how would it work with kontera?

No, no! Do not click to any ads just to count clicks. It is against rules to push users to click only for getting counted. The same is for Google ads.

Act as usual, nothing more. If some word will be highligheted and you will be interested in the content, than ok, click on it. But NEVER NEVER click just for adding one click in the log. It would be like stoling money to publishers.

Ciao
