Interesting 8 page Web article about the history of 3dfx & the Voodoo card can be found here (http://www.x86-secret.com/articles/divers/v5-6000/v56kgb-1.htm).

Hi Matthew,
very nice article. Although I never had 3dFx card, my friend had. It was in times I had Trident Blade 3D ( no OpenGL in hardware, but that could not stop me :D ) and he had Voodoo Banshee 2 ... that had no OpenGL support too, so I optimized my OpenGL based ancestor of thinEdge to run on OpenGL software render.
What a miracle when we found out miniGL driver can be used and the framerates went wild ;D
Thanks for bringing back good old memories :)
Petr
The voodoo cards were something else and deservedly so at that time!
