In the thinAir Browser,
Is there a way to quickly collapse all or expand all under files listed in the Files Folder?
I tried many key combos to see if any worked and had no luck so far.

Hi Kent,

the only keys available when you are positioned over a browser node are + and - that expand or collapse the node (or LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW).
Perhaps I can do something, let me check.

Roberto

Yes, or add a key (such as star *) which opens / closes the node files maybe except the one that corresponds to the foreground script.

Added the star key on the browser windows for quickly expand or collapse the file node level.
Please note that for use the * key you should have currently selected a parent node not a terminal child one.
This update will be in the next ThinBASIC release.

Roberto

Just updated thinBasic 1.6.0.8

Now it should be compatible again with Win9x systems.
We have also added request from Kent about possibility to collapse thinAir Code browser window (see request (http://community.thinbasic.com/index.php?topic=1747.msg12736#msg12736)).

Regards
Eros

I am not seeing the browser collapse in the latest release guys. I cleared my FireFox Cache to make sure it wasn't the problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

It seems it is working only if more files are open and creates multiple trees in code browser.
Also it seems that sometimes * key open/close the tree not under the cursor.

Roberto, what about [+] or [-] keys to open/close the tree under the cursor?

I am opening up the tbLEV project file Eros and I don't get the star key or any indicator that collapse is available.
Are you sure the latest thinAir is in the upload? I just downloaded it again to make sure and it still isn't coming up.
Under the new features section in thinAir help there is no mention of the new feature, if that help.

Click on a file name in the browser window and then press * key.
Maybe a little toolbar in the Code Browser can look better.

Hi Kent and Eros,

I'll check again but it seem that all keys (*, +, -, ARROWs keys with or without ALT) are working fine on the browser windows.
But of course given that these keys are already used it in editor window for other purposes, the browser window must has the focus in order to work properly.

Ciao,
Roberto
