I screwed myself

Hi folks,

man I feel like the world is hating me.

2 days ago I remembered the wish of my son that he would like to get an XBox 360 for his birthday (in July :D ). Of course it has to have HALO3 with it. Well, I also would like to have the XBox so I was looking for it. While searching through AMAZON I came across this bundle. If you order the game with the XBox360, then you'll get the game for free. Very good offer. So I order it.

But damn, I should have looked at my account before. :( Two hours later I found out that my wife bought something that would bring my account to deep with the additional purchase of the XBOX so I tried to cancel the order. Normally with AMAZON no problem within this short time. At least I thought so.

I was able to cancel the XBox but not the game as it was allready in the shipping process. Adding to the frustration now I have to pay for the game.... and it came today to my house.

How cool is that, having a nice game at home that you can't play for a while. :D

I had something similiar with a company called Dabs, I ordered something then within 5 minutes I changed my mind phoned to cancel my order and was told by a very rude woman that it couldnt be cancel as it had been shipped.
I then spent 10 minutes pointing out it was about 10 am and who ever they ship with wouldnt have collected it yet so it couldn't of been shipped or even been invoiced yet. You guess it no joy but she did say I could return it at my expense to get a refund.

I kept it and I dont/will not use Dabs again.

That's bad. Well here it was clearly my fault. I'm not mad at Amazon, I laugh about myself here. :)

I had a bad day too, I was going to buy some food and took my camera to take some reference photos and videos for TBGL particle programming article. So took a photo, made a step into road and was almost smashed by a bus, by my own carelessness. If it would hit me I could be very angry just to myself.

Normally I would say it is time of Sun eruptions, but I think we calculated with Eros that now is not time of Sun eruptions so it has to be something else :D

Hi,

do not worry, after that experience I will watch around better.
I feel stupid, it was a kid mistake from my side. I was more scared than the driver :)
Just advice of survivor - never rely on your ears, the bus was riding from the hill without engine in traffic noise environment, so unhearable.

But important is I got the photos and videos I needed, stay tuned :)
No need to kill me, yet ;)
