Hi,

just found this page "by accident": TheForceUnleashed (http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/).

It will be game set in Star Wars universe, with some really nice physics system.
After you will watch the trailer ( quite nice ) and get to the page menu, click "Game Info" / "Tech Info" and click video "What is DMM".

In the first part you will see basic approach to breaking of wood plate, but in second it shows something better than trivial collision detection.

I found it qute interesting.

Petr, I think Mike meant it in a positive way, that is games that are worthy of looking into... but you never know with English, sometimes how it is said can change the meaning too.

I havent played them but sometimes when a game looks good its still an a terrible game to play.

Take ghostbusters as an example they make a big thing about getting Dan aykroyd and Bill murray to voice the characters if thats one of the games best features then is it worth it.

Will have to wait and see

Aha,

you are right :) Before first demoversion it is very hard to guess how it will be playable.
I was disappointed a lot for example from NeedForSpeed:ProStreet. Pictures, description - all looked good. But the control of car is kind of weird and one crash - game over is more frustrating than motivating.

Movie based games are special genre too, I do not remember one very good. But the Ghostbusters are evidentely not pushed by being finished with movie release :). So could be fun.

The "Toy Story" games for consoles was very good I thought. It felt like you were in the movie controlling the action.

"The Alien" games were very good too I thought, so movie to games can be good. I never tried the Matrix game, it would be interesting to see how that translated.
The trailers looked good.
