Hi,

I bought this week the February 3D World Magazine for 3D artists and found a DVD with a full working version of Carrara 5 Pro. You can get a serial number on their site. This software is worth $549 so get it for the prize of the magazine.

Let me know what you think of Carrara, Marcel after you use it for sometime. Thanks for the links too.

I have Carrara 5.1 Pro now for over a year and it is worth every penny. Everyone who has a chance to grab this magazine should get it.

My first impression is: Overwhelming.

I read in a review that this was one of the easyest 3D programs. Therefore I'm glad I stumbled over Carrara. ;D

Hi Marcel,

thanks for the tip. 3D World Magazine is sadly not available here.
Did DAZ had exclusive contract with this magazine for this action or is it possible it will appear in other too?

Thanks,
Petr

I've never seen the magazine locally either, but it has been awhile since I went to the magazine rack at the local bookstore. Something I will do this week to check since Mike and Marcel like it.

I was wondering where to buy the magazine too.

From the 3D World website:

Where can I buy 3D World?
If you want to buy a copy of 3D World, the first place you can look is your nearest magazine store.

In the UK, you can find us in WH Smith, and some local newsagents, particularly those in central London. You can also find us in selected branches of Tesco, and the WH Smith stores you find at airports and railway stations.

In the US, you can find 3D World in large branches of Borders and Barnes & Noble.

3D World is also on sale in mainland Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and many other countries throughout the world, but you may have to contact your local distributor. Click here to email us to find out who that is.

However, you may find that if you live outside the UK or the US, it is actually cheaper to order single issues of 3D World online than to buy them in the stores. You can do this at the My Favourite Magazines website. Choose '3D World' from the 'Design' menu, and follow the instructions on screen. All prices include international delivery.

I'll be looking for it this weekend.

Thanks for the tip !

What I know is that this is the 100th Issue of 3D World magazine and besides that Carrara released version 6. To promote the software and pull customers I think both made a deal. The promotion action gives you also the right to upgrade to version 6 with a discount of 25%. You have to upgrade before the 30th of March this year.
