I recently ran across something called Sandcastle Help Compiler System. I don't know much about it yet. Has anyone had experience with this program? I'd like to know if it is worth installing but no one I know here has ever heard of it much less used it.

Thanks
Sandy

The site is currently down Sandy, but I just started to use it 2 weeks ago. It is my first experience with a help making system.
So far, I really like it a lot.

It is first, a very small file to download and install.

It is very easy to use, I can't compare it to other systems as this is the only one I used, but you can start doing things
right away. So far, I am very much impressed with it.

You can save as chm or html files which is really neat.

I've got it installed on my machine and so far it looks promising. I've looked at the documentation and feel like it's a little bit over my head. I'll need time to learn it and see if I like it or not.

Thanks
Sandy

Sandy, just click on start new project... leave things as default for now.

Then on the left hand side just click on the project and select insert as child.
Everything sort of works on using the left pane as the outline, right clicking on elements in the outline and selecting what you want to do.
Very intuitive.

You can rename things and rearrange them all from that outline view. Just play around and you will see how easy it is. Have fun!
