My boss gave me the latest copy of PC Pro magazine issue 158 and on the coverdisc is Basic4GL 2.4.10 in the essential programming section.

I thought it would be quite 8) to try and get thinbasic on there.

what do you think?

Thanks Abraxas.

I already sent info to PC Magazine here in Italy but I think here they are just a subsidiary so they publish what someone else told them to publish.
I already sent mails to other cover but I suspect they plan with some months in advance so, no info.

Anyhow feel free to make any move on our behalf in UK or other places.

Ciao and thanks again.

Yes,

that would be very nice.
I think lot of people buys PC magazines these days so it would help spreading thinBASIC a lot.

Lol, the only reason I started using Basic4GL early last year was because I got it on a PC Pro coverdisk.

I reckon you should send a copy of thinBASIC to PC Utilities (http://www.magnesiummedia.com/magdetails135.html) magazine, every month they ask people to send in software which they can then give away.

Thanks for the info Abraxas and Matthew,

I wonder why they added one year (*2006) old version to their cover CD(*2007).
Maybe they get all information from other sources and do not check for latest ?

Fact is that in my country situation with magazines is the same.

Thanks,
Petr

In the year 2006 I did many actions to try to have thinBasic published on the many download web sites and other places where technology was the main interest.
But I stopped because the only thing I've got back was a lot of useless web sites having a page talking about thinBasic (few lines) full of Google ads. You can see many of them just entering thinBasic in Google and search.

Also some of the most important downlaod sites have commercial subscription in order to publish your product in an accepted window time otherwise it takes months before thay publish you application. And because of the speed we update thinBasic, to me this is not acceptable. That's why now you see thinBasic version 1.0.x.x around.

If someone wants to submit thinBasic info to download web sites, they usually accept info from PAD files (special xml files). Here it is the one I usually use and keep updated:
http://www.thinbasic.com/pad/pad_thinbasic.xml

Just enter the above url if requested to enter a PAD file.
