I've been thinking and realize that there are lots of things I can share about myself.

When you ask 'why are you here' I assume you mean the forum. I'm here because I like thinbasic so much. Before I tried thinbasic I dabbled with wxbasic for a short time. Then when the author of wxbasic decided to completely rewrite his basic I went searching for another basic language. I found thinbasic by doing searches and reading up on the different basics.

I am a 59 year old man who is physically handicapped and live on a check (think small) from my government. I live in the state of New Mexico which is a part of the USA.

What do I do in my spare time..... One of the most important things I do is learn more and more about programming in thinbasic. I've really started enjoying my computer a lot more since I found thinbasic.

Also here in Lovington we have what is called a Senior Citizen Center that I belong to and spend a lot of time there. It is a place for old people to gather together and do things. There is a lot of socializing going on which is why most of us go.

I enjoy listening to the radio, watching television, and reading books. I now have all the Harry Potter books but haven't had enough time to finish reading the 6th and 7th ones.

That's all I can think of to write about for now.

Thanks
Sandy

Forgot to add that I put together a lot of jig-saw puzzles.

Thanks

Sandy,

just to let you know the pleasure I had reading something more about you.
Maybe I'm too tired this night or maybe you just used the right words for my late night sensibility but while reading your post I had the impression to have you in front of me :)

Thank you very much.

Thanks Sandy nice to know more about you, thanks for sharing a bit of yourself. I hope you have a long and happy life as a thinBasic programmer, who knows maybe you will get more tech lovers into programming at your community center!

Thank you Sandy for a picture of you. I mean picture as you described yourself in a way that someone can get it in his mind. You call yourself old??? 59 is nothing. And it is great to see that you are getting more and more into it.

BTw. I love the name of your town, Lovington.

Thanks again for your posting.

Take care
Michael

Hi Sandy,

thanks a lot for your description, I agree with Mike 59 is nothing like old age!

And also good to know another Harry Potter reader is on the forum ;), I finished all except last one, which is not translated to my language yet and english version is too expensive here :)

Are there any programmers in "Senior Citizen Center" ?

Bye,
Petr
