Hi folks,

as I checked my finances a little closer it came to the point that I have to cut down my spendings. So constant costs that are hobby related have to be cut. Means I will close my website and forum at the end of September 2007.
I will be still online and frequently visit thsi forum, but wanted to let you guys know about it, so you don't get confused. I will try to transfer my email address somehow to my DSL package, hopefully I make it. But the webhosting contract have to go.

Cheers
Michael

If you need web space (Win2003Server + IIS6 + php + mysql + FTP) but with not much badwidth ( 512Kb ) I can do it.
I can arrange a 3rd level domain ( http://yourname.thinbasic.com ) here. Plus I can put online a Joomla + SMF for you. I can also use any of the Joomla Themes you can see here: http://demo.rockettheme.com/

I think I can also arrange a mail with 50Mb space, Web + POP3+ SMTP access.

For free of course. Let me know.

Ciao

I am sorry to hear that Mike :'(,

Eros's offer is fair one. http://psch.thinbasic.com/ is best hosting I ever had.

Bye,
Petr

Thanks Eros for the generous offer!! Actually what I would really need is only a way to host files, so people could download my stuff. The real problem is my current email adress. To many commercial registration on it. It would be a pain to change all of them.

- TBDI has allready a place here.

- The Blender export script too.

- Sooner or later IndeED will be shelfed, means I say goodbye to it.
My new editor will support thinBASIC scripts out of the box, but I don't see it hosted here as I don't wanna distract people from using thinAIR. Roberto did such a great job on it. Actually I not sure anymore if I should finish it.

- As there is allmost no IBP users left, I think the development of the IBP 2D pak is not needed anymore too. So you can consider it shelfed too. And I don't want to support the other languages anymore too. My support is fully on thinBASIC.

- Same goes for the Mozart sound pak. (maybe I could convert it to thinBASIC, so we have a freeware alternative to BASS)

Petr, if I want to write a tutorial for TBGL, would you mind to host it on your side? And don't be sorry. It is just a website. If I would have to leave the INET totally, that would make me upset.

Cheers
Michael

OK, so let me know if is ok for you in this way:

I create a 3rd level web (I need a name: mike.thinbasic.com or michaelhartlef.thinbasic.com or whatever you prefer)
I give you an FTP user so you can upload some static pages and needed files (remember my band limitation)
Maybe later if you will be OK we will arrange for a CMS and a forum. Up to you when.
regarding mail, that is a problem if you have used the one linked to your domain. To register commercial software I do not use the one @thinBasic.com but the one I have with a big provider that I'm sure it will be there with more stable presence. In any case, up to you how to solve. I will be here if you need something on this.

OK? :)
If yes, send me private message giving an email where I can send FTP login info. Consider I will do the job this night.

Ciao

NO! :) I think I didn't made myself clear enought. I think that I don't need all this as I'm fine allready. For my email addy I will try to transfer the domain from my hosting contract to my DSL contract. I have still a domain slot there for free.

Right now I don't really need a website. The Blender script is allready available here. The TBDI module too. So there is actually nothing right now that really needs a new place. That is what I ment.

Again, thank you so much for your offer Eros, you are a true friend. But I think I don't need it right now.

Ok Mike that's fine, sorry to be so active on this but I just wanted to help, if possible.
In any case you know were we are and, if needed, we will do our best.

Ciao

Mike - that would be terrific. I want to keep site alive, atractive and good source. I am just human, so I am very slow.
But two humans ... :)

I would be very happy to see your articles there Mike. You do not need to struggle with graphic look. Write the article like anything I can open in OpenOffice/Notepad :) and I will do the manual conversion to the TBGLish look on my own.

Thanks,
Petr

Mike your plans sound good. I am sorry that you need to close the nice site you made, but as you said you planned everything to transition nicely. Thanks for the heads up and good luck!
