Hello,
I have a question about the thinBasic license agreement. Does anyone know if it is legal to sell and merchandise programs made using the thinbasic software?
Thanks

Hi,
I am not official guy so please wait for status from Eros Olmi and/or Roberto Bianchi, but if you have a look at license bundled with thinBasic:
You cannot:
· work around the technical limitations in the software;
· reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except and only to the extent that applicable law expressly permits, despite this limitation;
· lease or sold the software;
· use the following parts of thinBasic separately from others: thinCore.dll, thinVL.dll;
· interface your or third parties software to use thinCore.dll and/or thinVL.dll directly without our written permission.
So you can't sell thinBASIC itself, but rest *should* be ok as long as you do not break the points mentioned.
But again - better to wait to Eros, but I am optimistic on this issue ;)
Bye,
Petr

Hi saraakku, welcome here.
You can sell thinBasic script both in clear or obfuscated form. In this case your customers will need to have thinBasic installed.
You can also sell executable created by thinBundle. In this case it is not necessary to have thinBasic installed because it is embedded into the excutable.
I will clarify better in next official release licence.
