get label background color

Is there any way to get the background color number of a label, or any control?

I would like to get the color number and then have the script be able to make changes to the number. I've looked in help for control get color but there doesn't seem to be anything.

Another difficult things even if it seems easy.

Problem is that color is not stored in the control. As far as I know the only way is to keep current one or if you change it, store new value somewhere.
I will search again if I'm able to find a way but not sure.
