Insignias, Emblems and Logos

Guys this is just a start to get the ball rolling.
Here is a name idea for the governmet of earth and its colonies.

This is just a very basic square emblem.

Eventually I would like have something with Earth, a sword and more of a badge shape to the insignia.
Just wanted to get feedback on the name and get some ideas from you guys.

Oops, just realized Mike had come up with a good name also.
United World Federation Forces, maybe this could be the name of the military and mine or something that comes up better as the government's name before the war.

I like Mike's Luna Transports Cooperation for the shuttle's since that is who Topdown is working for, so will work on something for that next to put on the ships for early going.

Good design. But I would change the colors. Make the earth blue is good (of course, but the surounding blue clashes and would make it difficult to see from a little bit far. I would make the stars blue or yellow and the surrounding white.

I will see what I can come up with. I'm glad you like the names I came up with. :)

How about then going with Mike's United World Federations for the government and then the military will just have the word Forces added to the end. That seems to work out very nicely.

Mike can't wait to see what you come up with too. I will work on a few more so we have some different ones to use.

Petr, I made the human carrying shuttle and it came out too sleek and needed star trek type engines(impule and warp) which we don't want. So I am going to make a lower less sleek version today. Hope to have it done today.

As I said I am now arranging sources and also prepairing new TBGL.
I will be happy having some models to play with, but it is not necessary urgently.
I have also idea in head regarding first mission & level 1 ... I need to think it more :)

If you think, they look plain, it is for a reason. Badget tagged on overalls have no shiny effect, ship tags usually are just 2 or max 3 color emblems. So are company logos.

I gave him a tool, and he run's. :D Superb job Kent. I love them all, only the black and gray versions are to dull. Difficult to decide which once are the best.

Thanks Mike, you got the ball rolling and thanks for using inkscape. It forced me to install it and to finally learn how to use it. I just usually get lazy and use the gimp or image ready. But inkscape is the right tool definitly for this sort of thing.

I think if we just make them as they come to us to have a huge catalog to choose from it will be great. No need to pick any one design as they all have great things about them. Just whatever fits the space or mood trying to get across.

The black and grey ones I do, mean they can be colorized to any tone we need. I was going to make them all that way, but got bored with just greys so put some color in. It is easy to go from greys to colors.

I got another question but will post it in the story area where it belongs.

It is really nice working with other creative people for sure as we seem to inspire each other and it is so much nicer to share the workload, well funload!!

The logos in shades of gray does look nice, but Mike is true it would be hard to recognize them from large distance. It could lead to shooting your firends :)
