View Full Version : New Utility
Guys, I wrote a new Utility I hope you all will find useful.
I wrote it in Turbo Delphi because I wanted to practice
writing a more complex program with it.

Nice tool, I would be nice if thinAir could call it and could communicate via the clipboard with it. ThinAir has a commeting functionality but yours is very powerful and interesting too.

Hi kryton,
good tool for nice comment frames !
I like it, I think I know how headers of new scripts will look like ;)

Very nice one.
Roberto, please check the video and "stole" some ideas :D :D
Ciao
Eros
I will be glad to give Roberto the source to put into thinBasic. It is in Delphi now but I was thinking of porting it to c++ anyways. It would be nice to have it in thinAir.
On the other hand, me being a newbie to Delphi and C++, my code is not efficient. So he is more than welcome to look at the video, try out the program and take the ideas to put into thinAir with his own twist and coding skills.
Let me know, I will be glad to do what I can and help anyway I can.

Hi Kent
A user friendly tool. I find it particularly useful on my php web files. Never enough time for proper comments and documentation but your tool makes it a lot easier.
Never before have I had such neat comments ;D
Nice work - thanks
Lee
Thanks guys, all this great feedback gave me new ideas . I hope to get to it by this weekend. Will keep you posted.
New version 1.0 is out finally. The first post has the links. Only the program and source are new, the video is for the previous version.
If you guys can look over the readme text and give me ideas on licensing, I appreciate it. I sort of explain what I want, but perhaps there is a standard I can use to avoid any problems. Also if the readme is simple enough. As you know I get long winded all the time, so I tried to keep it straight forward and short as possible in the readme :)

Hi kryton,
new version is nice, I appreciate the saving of settings.
But I can't understand how the "magic keys" ( W,S,A,D, PageUp, PageDown ) work :-[
Could you explain more on this topic ?
Thanks,
Petr
I will make a video tutorial tonight Petr. THanks for trying it out.

Hi,
video tutorial would be terrific, thanks !
Petr
New features video is in the first post. The original beta movie is still valid for the basic and actual main features of remmer, those haven't changed. The new features are just some shortcut keys to get different looks easier.

Hi kryton,
thanks for the video!
It is so easy, how I could miss it!
I always tried to give focus to some control, which was reason why it didn't work.
Thanks !,
Petr
I am sorry Petr, I will need to make that better, it shouldn't be resticted to the preview label, One of the tweaks I need to do in the future.
After you play with it, tell me what is irritating and what else you would like, I know presets would be nice, that is a place to store your favorite settings and that will be coming in the future. I need to get rid of the bug where it trims the space character when saving and reading to the ini file.
Anyways thanks for watching and using!!
