TAB Alpha Release 18

* NEW Beginnings of music and sound in TAB.
"playmusicX$" and "playsampleX$" actions for playing
mp3's and .wav files
eg: playmusic\sounds\Mymusic.mp3
eg: playsample\sounds\Noise.wav
"musicstop" - stop and clear current playing music.
Music will autoloop unless "playmusicX$"
action starts a new music or "musicstop" action is done.
Music erased when game restarted, new game loaded, a
'gameover' situation or the TAB Player is exited due to a
player "quit" command or window close.

* FIX Password textbox now removed when password dialog finishes.
Password routine now works properly.

*NEW Graphic on Editor Main Menu.

*Few bugs fixed.

are you thinking about some sequel to Dragonia?
Hope it will feature egg sandwich again :).

As with the character commands from previous release, sound from this one ...
Hmm, lot of possibilities for anybody good at story telling...

Hi Psch,

Minor (but important) update to TAB today. Use TAB _Updater to get it...

I've been thinking about your gfx ideas. I understand what you mean about using bmp button type graphics (small LABEL controls with small pics loaded on and using %ss_notify - sort of like icon style.. - excellent idea, BTW :) ) but I do not really want to create a point'n'click style of creator or go down that route really...

I've attached a jpg of a preliminary version of a gfx tab player which has 2 labels for bitmaps, top one for location, bottom one for a logo, credit, advert or whatever. These pictures would of course be changeable at any point in a game. Also a series or sequence of pics could be shown using new script gfx 'actions'. You could show pics of objects or characters etc...

The dlg window shown is sizable - it is only the richedit and input textbox that size - pics will remain same size.

Egg sandwich - well whyever not??? I happen to like 'em ;)

Wow,

my heart is beating, I can see colorful graphics ... aaaargh ... it stopped now ... ufff, now it is ok :)

Really good idea with this side illustration ! It does not disturb the player from the text part but it is on still very good visible place. And nice picture. I also DO NOT WANT to see T.A.B becoming tool for icon clickers, but sometimes picture can add a lot to the mood in the game.

2 slots for pictures are more than enough ... thanks !
I really appreciate your work on TAB ;), you know it.

Too bad I still can't organize ideas in my head to use T.A.B to produce game.
But if the gfx addition will be as nice as it looks, I have one ( mad ) idea, just give me some time...
