As you may know, thinBasic site is based on PostNuke (http://www.postnuke.com)CMS and hosted on a shared server.
We have recently bought a dedicated server and we are thinking to move from PostNuke to another CMS.
Why?
PostNuke development has been quite delayed in the last months. There are strange rumours on the future so ...
We are in software selection phase and we are interested to have some impression from those of you having some CMS experience.
This is the list of CMS we are evaluating:
Joomla (http://www.joomla.org/)
Xaraya (http://www.xaraya.com/)
Drupal (http://drupal.org/)
Typo3 (http://www.typo3.com/)
Xoops (http://www.xoops.org/)
Currently our preference goes to Joomla.
We are also evaluating to change forum software moving from PhpBB compatible (like the current one called pnPhpBB) to vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com) or SimpleMachines (http://www.simplemachines.org/).
Any suggestion in welcome.
Regards
thinBasic team
