I think this essay by Paul Graham about languages is a good read:

Interesting,
even if thinBasic isn't a new programming language because BASIC is in turn from some decade.
In effects some milestones like (Brevity, Throwaway Programs, Libraries, Syntax, Efficiency, Time and Redesign) always have been present in the development of the language.
Instead I'm surprise about Hackability.
But according to you which wish list of functions a hacker would want to find into a hypothetical Hack.dll module?

I thought the article was worth sharing. And yes, there are numerous facets to the discussion; no one item in particular was intended to specifically compare with ThinBasic. IMHO the work you have done with ThinBasic is quite amazing.
I find myself oftentimes wanting to quickly script some code for a given task, ie. throwaway code. Have you any ideas how to enable an "Immediate Mode" environment with ThinBasic? Would it be feasible to perhaps have ThinBasic run in the Windows Task Bar, where one could pop it up and execute immediate text and/or files?

John,
the more I read the article you mentioned, the more ideas come to my mind. Thanks again for sharing it.
Your request is good. Please post it into thinBasic/Feature Request forum so we can start collecting new ideas.
In the meantime, we are very concentrated to finish development of first thinBasic release. We would like to have it ready by the beginning of next month and start collecting users impressions plus fix all big bugs very quickly.
Thanks a gain for your suggestion.
Ciao
