I just coded "SANDS OF EGYPT", a 2001 text adventure authored by Ambrosine in the Thinbasic Adventure Builder and is now in beta stage.

I would appreciate any comments, feedback, problems or bug report etc. from a few forum members so if you're interested in this type of game, have a bit of time spare and fancy joining in with the playtesting (TAB program not required) I would appreciate if you can please let me know through PM.
Thanx.

Where can I find "SANDS OF EGYPT"?
I downloaded TAB v67 but it is not there.

Hi Eros,
No it isn't there. I may well add it to there after the testing though...
I'm just doing some final checks to it. I will add you to the list and I will PM the download link later this week for you to check out.
Thanks,
catventure (Phil)

Nice video, I used to play a couple of text adventures on my Spectrum back in the eighties. I'd usually get annoyed because I didn't know what commands to type in and I was impatient.

I played your game when you first uploaded it, ( I like most things to do with Egypt). :dance1:

I should have probably had a pen and paper as I played and made a map as I didn't realise it was going to be that large. I liked playing it and the only real problem I had with it was the music was a bit loud.

Hi matthew,

Thanks for taking a look. I think I will act on your feedback and probably reduce the volume of the soundtrack for the next version; this is easily done in TAB as there are already in existence action commands to change the loudness level for music and samples.
