a whole book written by italian artist (Luigi Serafini ) in 1981 called "Codex Seraphinianus" in unknow alphabet, and no one know what it means, it contains very strange and unreal pictures
some pictures of the book:
http://interiorator.com/codex-seraphinianus-possibly-the-weirdest-book-the-world/
http://www.principiadiscordia.com/downloads/CodexSeraphinianus.pdf
there is also a copy in archive.org
why someone write full book for nothing !!
the author Luigi Serafini said: "What I want my alphabet to convey to the reader is the sensation that children feel in front of books they cannot yet understand."

the researchers find that the number system used for numbering the pages is a variation of base 21, i think it should contain 20 digits from 0 to K (note A=10) but with his own alphabet
1(d) --> 1(21)
10(d) --> A(21)
20(d) --> K(21)
21(d) --> 10(21)
22(d) --> 11(21)
31(d) --> 1A(21)
...etc
go to www.wolframalpha.com (http://www.wolframalpha.com) and write:
convert 21 to base 21
output: 1:0_21 (2 digits)
convert 31 to base 21
output: 1:10_21 (2 digits)
note that 10_21 is A if we prefer to use letter for it

looks very similar to the Voynich manuscript https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript and http://hyperallergic.com/159228/new-scans-of-the-voynich-manuscript-a-medieval-book-no-one-can-read/
you can download the book from https://archive.org/details/TheVoynichManuscript , the pdf is about 53MB
new high resolution scans at http://beinecke1.library.yale.edu/download/Voynich-New/ , the JPEG collection zip file is about 1GB

thank you jack for the high resolution scans link, i have downloaded now the 1 GB jpeg zip file, i have a hobby of collecting such books. some people said it is an alphabetic code reveals a medical text in Greek but still the cryptologists struggling to decipher this book, alas we don't know its original author name but possibly he/she is an Italian since it is found in 1912 in italian monastery and it is named after the merchant who bought it . while the author of "Codex Seraphinianus" does not say it is a cipher in his interview http://www.wired.com/2013/10/codex-seraphinianus-interview/, but i don't believe him since as said in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_Seraphinianus his book pages numbering is a variation of base 21, so if the numbering scheme was concealed and only cracked after big efforts what prevents he concealed something else !!. and why base 21, i know the Maya was using base 20 (very close)
