Nice idea :)

Interesting is the note about irritating speech - we had to solve this issue with Advee by substituing too robotic voice with more human like.
People expect sci fi voice, but they can't stand it for longer chat :)

I used to work for a microelectronics company in the past that was in close co-operation with Tesla works throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We were shipping semi-automatic die and lead bonders to them in large quantities for their IC production lines. Some batches were equipped with voice synthesis units that announced malfunctions such as broken silicon dice, material shortage, loose bonding wire, cold solder joints, and what not.

Now imagine a clean room shop with over 200 pieces of such machinery a quarter of which were in constant need of attention at any given point in time. And imagine also the shop staff that had to cater for the needs of about fifty 8 feet high "aliens" yelling at them in Darth Vader's voices!

Do you know what devices in this machinery were the most frequent to be vandalized? That's correct. The voice synthesis units.

Perhaps it is good that they aren't reporting how many times it may have been vandalized on its way there. Nor would I like to hear that figure ...
