I read about some of this last week, specifically that HP thinks the OS world is stagnant and dead and that they are dropping Windows and will be creating their own OS from Scratch? Using linux as their starting point. Not sure I call that scratch really.
I hope the best for them on this. I also hope they come out with an OS that's robust, solid, viable and easy to use and not some abortion from Ubuntu.
