I don't know, but are foot prints also not suspect ??? -- I mean in a water free environment, how do the particles stick together ? ( ~ dune sand ? )

Should be much smaller than ordinary sand particles. Fine as powder, I'd say. Then the static charge caused by rubbing the fine particles against each other under the foot should keep the footprint intact for ages as there's no atmospheric erosion there nor any humidity in the non-existent air to short-circuit the aforesaid charge.

Thanks Rob,

It's going on fine almost as planned, slowly but steadily. The FBSL v4 concept is being thought over and the corresponding tool chains worked out for different platforms and bitnesses it is supposed to cover.
