I'm running thinBasic 1.8.9.0 on P2-333MHz with Win98, but I will use 1.8.0.0 as you recommended.

Dear ChandraMDE,
in reality if version 1.8.9.0 is working under Win98, it is better to use that version that is more advanced and bug fixed.
There was not a precise version stopping compatibility with Win98.
There were some problems in maintaining Win98 compatibility especially for thinAir, OS, UI and Console modules due to usage of API not compatible with operating system before Windows 2000.
So the best version to use is the one that works without GPF or operating system errors.
