I had to look to see what "terracotta" means.

"Terracotta is fired to temperatures around 1000°C. The iron content gives the fired clay a yellow, orange, red, "terracotta", pink, gray, or brown color."
I think, 1000 degrees C, is 1832 degrees F.
How they did that, I don't know.
But, those warriors are F-ing amazing.
Such detail in the armor.
How did they get covered by all of that dirt?
I will say that the figures in blue and red, seem incongruous.
Which would you prefer, being frozen in Carbonite as Han Solo was in Star Wars or having a terracotta version of yourself? Carbonite you have a good chance of still being alive when you come out, so big plus there, but while frozen no where near the detail of features of who you are or were as in being honored in terracotta.
All fun aside, the detail and the fact that they did this so long ago is amazing and that they have lasted in such great shape all this time too.
Also it looks like they were holding a spear or flag in their right hands. I wonder if those were made of wood and just disintegrated?

It would be spectacular if replicas of these warriors could be marketed. Two of these at the garden gate would be infinitely preferable to gnomes :D
