It's pretty good.

I do know that once in awhile, a parachute fails to open, and the person still lives.

If I remember correctly, one landed on her back in mud, and she was basically uninjured.

I also have seen film of a skydiver, who threw his parachute out of the plane first, and then dove out after it.

He had to catch up with it, grab it, put it on, and deploy it in time.

I also remember what seems to me to be the first prototype of the wing suit.

A very old film clip showed a guy who jumped off, I think it was the 350 foot level, of the Eiffel Tower.

I think he was wearing a coat with feathers attached to it.

He dropped straight down like an anvil.

It happened to one of my cousins about 10 years ago. It was her first jump and the parachute failed. She came crashing down onto a stack of pipes, and got away with only cuts and bruises, not a bone broken, though there was a deep gash to one of her legs, which required hospital treatment.
