I wish it was so. You do see signs of hope, but then the next day you see how much power they have and do unthinkable things without any outcries, so that is very worrisome to me. What do you think Dan? Is there light at the tunnel or is it the boggie man with the flash light leading us on to our destruction?

Concerning world events, how can we determine what is truly happening?

It seems to me that, we can only hope.

From what I have been reading, the U.S. is preparing to attack Iran.

(http://www.counterpunch.org/2012/01/12/the-next-war-on-washington%E2%80%99s-agenda/)And, if you read the above article, you notice that the U.S. government cares zero about keeping its citizens in a state of constant extreme anxiety about another war. The debt is terrible now, the people at the bottom are paying for it, what misery would another war add? Of course, those who start the war will be insulated from any of its adverse effects. At most they'll watch them and read about them.

Notice that now, America, is constantly at war. In my opinion, it shows, that the real power here, lies with the war profiteers. When there is a war, any war, they make money.

If the U.S. attacks Iran, then, it demonstrates to me, for certain, that the U.S. government cares zero for the suffering of its own people. If Iran is attacked, I bet gasoline will go to $7-$8 per gallon in America.

And, if the U.S. government cares nothing about its own people, then, who, besides Israel, does it care anything about?
