thats great thanks also the associated videos are good, i must buy such a magnets, it seems the magnets are neodymium magnets the same material that used in hard disk drives look its shape here http://www.thinbasic.com/community/showthread.php?11114-tiny-motor-inside-cell-phone&highlight=neodymium the falling super magnet induce an electric current in the tube which in turn produce a magnetic force which slow down the falling magnet
i need a copper or aluminum tube to see if the hard disk magnet slow down while falling or not.
PS: it deserve to try the aluminum foils used in cooking, several foils arranged as a tube.
That is really strange. I can see how that would be fun to play with!
