They believe in Social Darwinism, a perversion of Darwin's ideas.

I like the quote at the end:

"Darwinism does not in any way invalidate the liberal creed; on the contrary, the traits conducive to social cooperation (rather than the allegedly "natural" instincts of aggression) are precisely those that maximize one's offspring in the current environment. Far from being unnatural, reason is the foremost biological mark of homo sapiens."

Yes, Social Darwinism, because, they are the ones on top.

Yes, creationism and evolution, because, to them, their inconsistencies don't matter.

(They promote intellectual ideas which help them, otherwise, they are anti-intellectual.)

I can only think that internally, they are very frightened, narcissistic, "people", terrified of having to compete equally with the bottom class, who, regardless of their claims of being, "saved", by Jesus, will rationalize and do absolutely anything to survive and prosper.

To me, they are the ultimate, "herd" humans.

They stay in their insulated herd, and view all others as inferior, regardless if the others would objectively beat them in almost any area, judged by any objective standard.

To this kind of person, the only standard that matters, is, monetary. They constantly reassure each other, that this is true.

And, now, I think with good reason, whether or not they are consciously aware of it, they are terrified that, the unfair advantage they have maintained for so long, is no longer stable.

The world is changing, and, that's the worst news for them.

The only way their position can improve, is by the imposition of a police state.

I think, police states are becoming harder and harder to impose and maintain.

We realize it, and whether or not they will admit it, they realize it too.

I remember this guy, Newt Gingrich, since he was Speaker of the House, when in 1994, he was the author of the, "Contract with America".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_with_America

If I remember correctly, at that time, because of him, the American government was temporarily shut down (two weeks?).

I think if Republicans were honest, then, they would openly promote him as their ideal.

One quote I read about him, which I like, is, "He (Gingrich) is a stupid man's idea of what a smart man sounds like.".

If the Republicans can find a worse guy than him (Gingrich), I'd like to see him!

To me, they may go with him in 2012, because, they are desperate.

Germany didn't choose Hitler because, at the time, the situation in Germany was great, right?

I bet, no man has a higher opinion of himself, than Gingrich does - I'll take all wagers.
