i have an old uncle who are very proud (on the base of nothing), he always make things bigger than the reality in a funny way.
i told him once that this restaurant is very good and provide the best quality of fish dishes. he said heh i have a meal in a restaurant beside a river and they hunt the fresh fishes to grill it directly on the fire and the fishes are too much even you just open your mouth and the fish jump from the river directly to your mouth.... imagine. i said do you pay money for the restaurant for the jumping fish since the river is public!!. his answer is by moving his neck to the left with proud.

his answer is by moving his neck to the left with proud.

Do you mean that he shook his head left and right, indicating, "no"?

Since the river is public, when the fish jump from the river into your mouth, you don't have to pay?

That seems fair!

no, i think he hear the sentence and then analyze it but if the analysis result are against his proud he dismiss it secretly and immediately as if he has not heard it.

That is funny when you ask someone a question, and he responds by glancing around proudly, and saying nothing.
