I remember one of these being present in the "intro" of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World series (or something like that), it scared the hell out of me as a child :)

It seems to me the Wiki considers it mostly fake, what do you think about it Charles?

Well, there's quite and industry producing modern crystal skulls but I think the Mayans may have some authentic and truly ancient ones.

I feel they are not all scary nor created for sinister purposes.

Would you be happy to keep one in your bedroom? :)

The Episode of Mysterious World featuring an interview with the woman who found the Crystal Skull can be found on YouTube, I too remember watching it when I was younger.
