i agree, wait until he is 16 years old. but a capable young student are too rare, his picture with Dr. wolfram i think he will receive support from him . in the blog http://blog.wolfram.com/2011/09/15/from-pi-to-puzzles/ at the bottom one person said "I’ve spent countless hours making programming tutorials for my children" , it is wrong to force the kids to learn programming, it is like forcing them to like art, dancing, etc. i think the best choice is to leave the children find their way alone with a slight guidance from parents.
