Charles,
my consciousness is bread and water!
and sometimes OxygenBasic. :D

I am curious Charles, what did you think of the video?
I think it probably has some truth to it but don't have enough knowledge about the subject to make a better assessment.
one thing not mentioned in the video is that waking up the serpent can be extremely dangerous (that much I know), it should only be done
under the guidance of your Master.
once the serpent fire is awakened it will run it's course and you can have serous physical symptoms, the fire will actually burn inside you,
to the extent that you (and others around you) will smell a burning smell, like that of burning hair.
on a side note, I read about Nikola Tesla when in his words had a nervous brake down, which in my opinion was his chakras awakening.

I thought this was a very inspired video, Jack. I thought the intoductory part was superb with the intimation that we are cosmic fractals and we share the same energy structure as the galaxies and atoms.
Anyone who has spent some time in meditation will be aware of the subtle energy systems in the body. I don't anyone anybody who has had a Kundalini disaster, though one always hears these stories. If you take good care of yourself and don't do anything extreme, I don't see any danger.
The classical description of the chakras, as far as I know is not to be taken literally - I mean has any one checked to see if the Sahasra lotus really does have precisely 1000 petals :)
But the main point is that we are more than 3D.

Want to watch, cannot, too big, 124 MB, connection too slow, 56KB.
I pressed the play button, and then I forgot about it. After awhile, I suddenly heard a loud noise coming from my computer that scared me. The first, maybe 10 seconds of the video had downloaded and started to play. It took me a few seconds to realize what it was.
I like what you guys said, it gives me some hope. I have become skeptical about the truth of any particular religion. But, I much prefer the possibility that religions exist because of an objective universal spirituality, that consciousness is the fundamental substance, not matter. The other possibility that always grinds on me is that, we come into existence accidentally and for nothing, we invent fairy tales to give our lives meaning, and then we go out of existence forever. Could it be that the reason this latter possibility is so difficult to confront for most people, is not because they are weak (I know that I personally have a tendency to always think that the worst possible outcome, the one that is most difficult to contemplate, must be the true one.), but rather because it is a contradiction of the actual reality? If so, then, for me, that knowledge is better than anything else I could receive in this life.
I hope for the truth of the idea that we are all part of the same consciousness (including my dogs and cats).

I wonder if anyone has an opinion about Sai Baba (I guess he would be put in the same general category as chakras - about which I know nothing), I would be interested, real, fraud, or combination?

And, one more thing, Thomas Aquinas - nervous breakdown -->

Hi Dan,
I think the era of religious authority and gurus has come to an end. Our means of communication are so much better now - knowledge is freely available. Also people prefer to make their own choices in life and not be told what they must experience or believe in.

I am going to interpret your comment, "we are more than 3D", to mean, that when we die, we still exist in some form - unless you tell me otherwise.
To me, we could be 1000D, but if when we die we cease to exist, what does it matter?
Similarly, I have heard some people say that God exists, but anyway when we die we are gone forever - in that case, I think it is effectively the same as saying God does not exist.
I think it was in 1968, at the beginning of the song, "The Soft Parade", Jim Morrison (The Doors) orated,
"When I was back there in seminary school,
there was a person there who put forth the proposition,
that you can petition the Lord with prayer.
Petition the Lord with prayer.
Petition the Lord with prayer."
(long pause)
"YOU-CANNOT-PETITION-THE-LORD-WITH-PRAYER!!!!!!"

Yes I've heard that. It is an effective incantation for levitation. The impact of those final words at high decibels after the long pause will momentarily lift many individuals several inches above their seats!:D.
As for immortality, have you ever wondered what it feels like not to exist?

A long time ago, when I had no hopes for an afterlife, I would rationalize death to myself (I think I've said this before here).
I would think (and say to others), I was dead in 1850 and it didn't bother me.

Now that I think about it, it is true. I distinctly remember during the fall of my first year, putting the speakers in the window, and blasting that into the dormitory courtyard.
(But, I never cease to be surprised when I learn again that, apparently similar people, do similar things.)

This lady is going to be on the radio show I listen to tonight.
(I am not implying that her apparent professed connection to chakras, impugns chakras.)
Concerning her website, I notice that she seems to want to sell people information for what seems to me to be, lots of money.
To put my observation about her website simply, I wonder what she is primarily motivated by, medicine, and/or money, and/or madness.

Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa, men have named you
You're so like the lady with the mystic smile
Is it only 'cause you're lonely, they have blamed you
For that Mona Lisa strangeness in your smile? ..
