3 weeks ago thursday/friday night i dreamed that the husband of my sister "1" ask me to take care of his kids, in the morning i was suspicious that may be his old father died. in a few minutes i have a phone that the husband of my sister "2" died at about 11 PM from a heart failure.
so certainly i have received a signal. but why the dreams are always disguised, if you dream of a festival then it will be a funeral, sister 1 instead of sister 2.
this is a kind of Cosmic Wide Web, and every living being have an IP, and even have a record in a big database. i can't agree that the signals received by our brains in dreams are electro magnetic like a cell phones, it is more like the quantum entanglement between tiny particles, and even more bizarre than that.

Hi Zak,

I am sorry to hear about such a sad prophecy. I had similar experience in the past as well.

I was thinking a bit about this and tried to come up with some explanation converging to scientific one. I failed in this task, but I have a theory.

I do not think there is permanent connection between each of us. But what I think could be possible is that people meeting from time to time exchange few packets of information, via subconscious ways (be it coded in moves, expression, tone of speech, ordering of words...). After each such a meeting, your internal database of information about met person is updated and your (unmonitored) thinking about given person is activated like when object drops into water. I think you might be even able to recognise someone is going to be ill or has health problem. I think it could be relict from animal times, when our ancestors, as hunters, needed to evaluate condition of its prey even when watching from far away by sensing it.

Why I am talking about permanent connection is not the cause - it is related with my concept of waves produced by object falling into the water. With time the waves loose their height till they "disappear". It is similar with frequency of thoughts about given person. So I think the probability of such a "prophecy", which is in fact just processing the information we got last time we met, raises with frequency of contact with other person.

Whoa, I just finished my most esoteric post on our mostly technical forum, I hope it makes bit of sense. I think the key is we perceive one volume of information with two "channels". If it would be represented by DWORD variable, the thing we notice and know about it are stored in the HI part, and the "secret" ones in LO part. If we would perceive both the same way, we would become crazy soon.

Hi Petr
if i understood part of your theory, then one version of it means that every brain have a virtualization system inside it; such as george brain have a miniature model of tony, and a miniature model of elisa ...etc. so those models live inside george brain and they are powered from info collected from time to time, this is an interesting theory, i beleive it can explain many or even most dreams, but can't with this dream: several years ago i dreamed of a relative at about 3 AM, i never dreamed of him before, the dream is simple i just saw him very clearly then i wake up i have surprised that he come to my mind. i don't saw him from more than 5 years, and there is no talk with him, and he is living in another country. so during the day when i hear that he died it is a big surprise.
it is not possible that his tiny model inside my brain give me such a dream.
so i guess multiple theories can serve in this area, and your theory i can see that it can serve also in AI to make robots more human like.

Hi Zak,

you understood my idea perfectly. But your 5 year span kind of breaks it, I think I have to think about new approach.

Maybe the "intensity" fades like wave (seems natural), but once it reaches zero amplitude, it is restarted again to original amplitude after "object hits the water" (but this seems not very logical).

Or, it is last safety attempt to make the memory, before diving deeper into brain, visible to you. If you react to it intensively (think about it in next days), it gives it more energy to stay in "active memory", if you demonstrate low reaction, it goes to "backup folder".

I'm sorry zak

I was thinking about the situation you had some pre information about something so bad would have occurred but because our dreams are so vague you cannot really understand the meaning of them and decipher the full story into a real event and possibly prevent that event.

Unfortunately it seems that all the pieces have a meaning only after the event has occurred.

I'll add my "two cents" to this.

The first thing is, that from my own experience, the subconscious mind is much smarter than the conscious mind.

Now, for my main point.

I have been reading the book, "The Holographic Universe" (1991), by Michael Talbot.

Here is a link to an article he wrote, which summarizes his idea.

http://twm.co.nz/hologram.html

Just last night, before I went to sleep, I read the following from the book (p.61).

(I have to copy it, so hopefully I will get most of it right.)

Dreams and the Holographic Universe

Another researcher who believes Bohm's implicate order has applications in psychology is psychiatrist Montague Ullman, the founder of the Dream Laboratory at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and a professor emeritus of clinical psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, also in New York. Ullman's initial interest in the holographic concept stemmed also from its suggestion that all people are interconnected in the holographic order. He has good reason for his interest. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s he was responsible for many of the ESP dream experiments mentioned in the introduction. Even today the ESP dream studies conducted at Maimonides stand as some of the best empirical evidence that, in our dreams at least, we are able to communicate with one another in ways that cannot be presently explained.

In a typical experiment a paid volunteer who claimed to possess no psychic ability was asked to sleep in a room in the lab while a person in another room concentrated on a randomly selected painting and tried to get the volunteer to dream of the image it contained. Sometimes the results were inconclusive. But other times the volunteers had dreams that were clearly influenced by the paintings. For example, when the target painting was Tamayo's Animals, a picture depicting two dogs flashing their teeth and howling over a pile of bones, the test subject dreamed she was at a banquet where there was not enough meat and everyone was warily eyeing one another as they greedily ate their allotted portions.

In another experiment the target picture was Chagall's Paris from a Window, a brightly colored painting depicting a man looking out a window at the Paris skyline. The painting also contained several other unusual features, including a cat with a human face, several small figures of men flying through the air, and a chair covered with flowers. Over the course of several nights the test subject dreamed repeatedly about things French, French architecture, a French policeman's hat, and a man in French attire gazing at various "layers" of a French village. Some of the images in these dreams also appeared to be specific references to the painting's vibrant colors and unusual features, such as the image of a group of bees flying around flowers, and a brightly colored Mardi-Gras type celebration in which the people were wearing costumes and masks ...
