I saw the one hour show about this, on National Geographic last week.

I was convinced by it.

I just finished reading the article. Amazing how they can still dig through records to make the case. I never knew there were Ripper like cases in other countries, so it was a very interesting approach.

It makes sense to me. Why would the guy kill a bunch of prostitutes in London during four months in 1888, and then just stop? Unless the guy died, which isn't likely. So, I guess the probable reason is that the guy left London. They had a German psychologist on the show who analyzes serial killers. He said that these guys never stop. He said that in order to maintain the degree of sexual satisfaction, the butchery of the next murder must exceed that of the previous one. That was the pattern in the London murders.
