I'm a retired programmer :(. I have dabbled with a number of different languages: Python, Liberty BASIC, etc. These days I tend to use PHP/JavaScript most and then ThinBASIC and ooRex.

I am setting up my account on the new forum.

Can anyone tell me how to set an avatar; I have set an account image but this does not show as an avatar.

Regards,
Peter

If you're logged in, the following link (http://www.thinbasic.com/community/profile.php?do=editavatar) should take you to the page to change your Avatar.

But it appears that it's not working yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. The page you linked to says:

No Avatar Specified

Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar

Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

on top-right click on settings then look at MySettings on left, you will have an option to change your avatar.

Thank you Jack; I'm sure that option was not there the other day; otherwise I was having another "seniors moment" .

Thank you Michael for your warm welcome!
