I was informed by Petr that it was impossible to register in thinBasic forum.
I checked and there is a problem with PHP graphic library so it was impossible to see the picture used for visual verification during registration.
I've removed visual verification and now it is possible to register again.
I will try to understand the problem during the week-end (it's the same why user avatar picture is not visible)

I'm almost ready.
Just converted current forum in new one: http://www.thinbasic.com/community/forum.php
All seems fine.
I need to tune some options and understand few new ways to do things and than we will move.

Eros,
I wouldn't be surprised if you have the same problems with vBulletin, You have SMF loaded with mods, ads, pop-ups and who knows what else.
I have been running SMF for years without issues. Moderation (especially keeping in mind you have to upgrade this stuff) may be a good practice to follow. Giving users more than they need and having it break when they start depending on it may cause you to be chasing your own tail.

Hi Eros,
thanks for the work on the movement to the new site.
I can still see few problems, the number of threads for example in TBGL General seems quite low in new forum:
TBGL General here (http://community.thinbasic.com/index.php?board=18.0)
TBGL General new (http://www.thinbasic.com/community/forumdisplay.php?20-TBGL-General)
Maybe it shows just the recent ones?
I also noticed GeShi is not in yet, do you think it would be possible to add, or at least postprocess the code:thinBasic tags to separate the code from the rest of the post?

I know that mods in SMF were a nightmare but current problems in SMF are not related to SMF at all.
Even if I have installed many SMF mods, all of them have been updated without any problems during all recent years and all SMF updates.
Current problems are related to Plesk configuration and PHP4 I was using for SMF. Some PHP files were written over others and it was a mess to recover.
Now it is working but all options using async update (ajax) have problems.
Current vBulletin forum at http://www.thinbasic.com/community/forum.php has no mods at all.
All is already inside the software and maintaned very well by official group. And this is the reason why I choosed vBulletin: it has almost all already inside.
The only mod I was trying to add is a syntax highlighter, that's why I'm spending some more time on it.
There is one based on Geshi (the same used here) but it is not working: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93071
I'm trying to learn vBulletin mod and see if I can fix by myself.
Ciao

Petr we were writing at the same time.
I see all posts in both forums because I setup admin user to not hide old posts.
We can tune each forum to not make any filter based on post age.
I've changes TBGL forum setup to show all threads, before it was setup to show threads only from previous day.
There are many options to tune and setup
Ciao

I've tested under:
IE 8
Crome 7.0.517.41
FireFox 3.6.12
I will test your browser too: K-Meleon 1.5.4. It is based on Gecko engine (same as FireFox) so it should work.
