It seems it is not computer graphics or processor power that drives video games but emotion and personal relationships!

They are not tied together in my opinion. Ever since I got into computers and gaming... emotions were always there in gaming. Even the pixels that I used to think that were great graphics on my odyssey console, I would get into the game. If you notice he is referring to his family members gaming and their reactions and how it jolted him... I was surprised a leader of a major gaming company would be so out of the loop of understanding.
I think we are still in the dawn of how cool games are going to get. We are just in the visuals right now and sounds. We still have all out other senses to bring into games of the future.
One thing though, Moore's law is now working its way down to other devices. The desktop has sort of died as of late. Where are the affordable 8 core pc's that were due out last year?
Now cell phones and tablets will be where we will see incredible growth in the coming years. We need a new breakthrough it technology for PC's to become the gaming platform of choice again. Right now the consoles are where all the action is.
